Property Tax Appeals
No one should pay more than their fair share of property taxes. Our comprehensive appeals process ensures your property is accurately valued by the county.
The Protest Process
- Notice of Appraised Value: Each spring, the County Appraisal District (CAD) sends a notice detailing your property's newly assessed market value.
- Filing the Protest: If you believe the value is too high, a formal protest must be filed by May 15th (or 30 days after receiving the notice, whichever is later). We handle this deadline automatically.
- Informal Hearing: We meet with a county appraiser to present our market data, comparable sales, and unequal appraisal arguments. Most cases are settled here.
- Appraisal Review Board (ARB): If an agreement cannot be reached informally, we present your case formally before a panel of citizens appointed by the ARB.
How We Win
We rely on hard data. Our automated valuation models pull recent sales comparables, equity assessments of neighboring properties, and local market trends to build an undeniable case for reduction.
